My Story
Hi there! I’m LJ, an artist with a lifelong passion for storytelling through art and media. I grew up in Orlando, where Disney movies and drawing cartoons were my constant companions. Summers were spent with my sister, diving into our VHS collection and making sure we watched every animated film we owned. Those days sparked my love for creativity and set me on the path to where I am now.
In elementary school, my grandparents handed down their old computer, and I quickly became hooked on the editing software that came with it. My friends and I spent our afternoons filming and editing our own movies, and that’s when my passion for film and production really took off.
Over the years, I’ve studied art extensively, taking classes at various art studios and schools. I love photography, design, and anything crafty. But what excites me most, is creating art inspired by my travels around the world. Whether it’s capturing the essence of a place through a lens, or illustrating something new from the experience, I’m always looking for fresh ways to express my creativity.
I’ve had the chance to work on some amazing projects, from contributing to a WWE reality TV show, to collaborating with the Universal Studios Creative team on theme park designs. Currently, I’m working with DreamWorks Animation as part of their Production team for several feature films, all while continuing to explore my own art on the side. I can’t imagine a "normal" job because my creative drive is always pulling me toward new adventures.
No artist’s journey is complete without a studio assistant—and for me, that’s Josie, my Boxer. Yes, she’s named after Josies’ Pizza and Wings. Josie is always by my side in the studio, whether she's lounging while I work, or making sure that I take regular breaks for belly rubs and walks. Her joyful energy keeps me grounded, and she’s the perfect reminder to balance hard work with a little play.
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope my art sparks a little bit of happiness for you!
